 The
present Nepal Water Supply Corporation which came into being in the
month of February, 1990 under the NWSV Act, 1990 of His Majesty’s
Government of Nepal will complete its 10 years of operation today as
an important utility in providing its services in the fields of
drinking water and sewerage amenities in the urban centers of Nepal.
It had the following predecessors in the past as dictated by the
statue:
- PANI ADDA or PANI GOSWARA until 1973 May
- WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE BOARD, 1973 July
- Under the Development Board Act.1957)
- WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE CORPORATION, 1985 July
(Under the Corporation Act.1965)
- NEPAL WATER SUPPLY CORPORATION,1990 MARCH
(Under Nepal Water Supply Corporation Act.1990)
According to NWSC Act 1990 the Corporation shall get its annual
accounts audited by a certified auditor (Chartered Accountant)
appointer by the Auditor General of Nepal. |
